BTS has once again demonstrated its enduring global influence, topping international music charts with a previously released track ahead of its highly anticipated full-group comeback in March.
According to BigHit Music on Jan. 2, BTS’s “Run BTS,” a track from the anthology album Proof released in June 2022, ranked No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 61 countries and regions, including Brazil, Finland, Mexico, and Greece, as of 6 a.m. KST.
The achievement is widely seen as a fan-driven resurgence, reflecting ARMY’s collective support and shared message of “running together” as BTS prepares for its full-group comeback scheduled for March 20, 2026.
The momentum aligns with recent coverage by The New York Times, which noted that BTS’s upcoming album and tour are expected to serve as “a decisive catalyst that will reinvigorate the entire industry,” reaffirming the group’s status as a steadfast leader in the global K-pop landscape.
BTS recently confirmed its March 20 comeback through handwritten letters from the members, announcing plans for a new album release followed by a large-scale world tour.
