Lee Je-hoon in Handcuffs at Last, Identity at Risk of Exposure in "Taxi Driver 3"

Lee Je-hoon is pushed to the edge as his character is finally seen in handcuffs in "Taxi Driver 3."

"Taxi Driver 3," written by Oh Sang-ho and directed by Kang Bo-seung, continues its unstoppable run. Episode 12 recorded a peak nationwide rating of 19.1 percent and 15.2 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area. The series ranked No. 1 for six consecutive weeks in the FUNdex TV drama buzz rankings and also topped Gallup Korea’s December list of “Koreans’ Favorite TV Programs.” Adding to the momentum, the drama won Drama of the Year at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards, while Lee Je-hoon took home the Grand Prize for Acting, cementing the show’s dominance.

In the previous episode, the Rainbow Dark Heroes led by Kim Do-gi, played by Lee Je-hoon, alongside Jang Sung-chul, portrayed by Kim Eui-sung, Go Eun, played by Pyo Ye-jin, Choi Kyung-goo, played by Jang Hyuk-jin, and Park Jin-eon, played by Bae Yoo-ram, launched a full-scale operation targeting a secondhand fraud ring exploiting online resale apps. During the mission, Do-gi uncovered the existence of professionals who meticulously set up crimes and traced them to their base on Samheung Island, heightening the tension.

In Episode 13, airing on January 2, all members of the Rainbow Dark Heroes arrive on Samheung Island to begin a full-fledged revenge-for-hire operation. Disguised as a client seeking crime consulting, Do-gi approaches the so-called “Samheungdoz” and their leader, Go Jak-ga, played by Kim Sung-kyu, setting the stage for a dangerous battle of wits with no clear outcome in sight.

Newly released stills capture Do-gi being arrested by Officer Kim, played by Ji Dae-han, and placed in handcuffs, immediately drawing attention. Whether his identity has been exposed to the Samheungdoz or this is yet another calculated move remains unclear. Even in this life-or-death moment, Do-gi locks eyes with Officer Kim with a fox-like gaze, suggesting he has no intention of relinquishing control to the villains.

Another still shows Do-gi facing off against Go Jak-ga, further intensifying immersion. The two-shot, filled with mutual suspicion, creates suffocating tension and raises anticipation over whether Do-gi’s newly designed scheme will succeed in bringing down the Samheungdoz.
