Global girl group A2O MAY, produced by Lee Soo-man, closed out 2025 on a meaningful note after being selected as a representative Chinese-heritage artist in the United States.
According to A2O Entertainment on December 30, A2O MAY (CHENYU, SHIJIE, QUCHANG, MICHE, and KAT) was named to the “2025 Southern California Chinese Community Annual Top 10 Cultural and Arts Activities” list announced by Los Angeles-based media outlet LAPost.
The list was compiled through extensive data analysis, including web search rankings and social media traffic, underscoring the group’s rapidly growing global attention.
Throughout the year, A2O MAY solidified its presence in the global music market with releases such as “BOSS,” “B.B.B,” and its debut EP “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE.” Notably, the group’s first EP topped the U.S. Mediabase Top 40 Airplay “Most Added” weekly chart, tying for first place with Justin Bieber, and also reached No. 8 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.
The group further expanded its U.S. presence by performing at major music events, including Wango Tango and Jingle Ball preshows, delivering impactful performances that resonated with local audiences.
Their achievements extended to award recognition as well. A2O MAY earned a total of three rookie awards at major global ceremonies, including Rookie Group of the Year at the Weibo Music Awards 2025 and the New Artist Award at the 2025 Asian Hall of Fame, affirming their growing influence and musical credibility.
LAPost described the group’s rise as “a symbolic milestone, marking the entry of an all-Chinese-member girl group into the mainstream U.S. music market.”
Meanwhile, A2O MAY recently reflected on its accomplishments in 2025 through a Shanghai fan meeting and a first-anniversary live broadcast, while signaling plans for continued active engagement on the global stage in the coming year.
