CORTIS has confirmed its status as one of K-pop’s fastest-rising rookie acts, achieving million-seller status just four months after debut.
According to Hanteo Chart data cited by BigHit Music on December 30, CORTIS’s debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES surpassed one million cumulative sales while simultaneously ranking No. 1 on the weekly album chart for the December 22–28 tracking period.
Released on September 8, the album recorded first-week sales of 430,000 copies and continued to show steady growth even after promotional activities concluded. A renewed surge in sales followed the group’s recent year-end award show performances, drawing in a wave of new fans and propelling the album back to the top of the charts. For a rookie group to reclaim the No. 1 position and exceed one million sales four months after debut is considered highly unusual in the K-pop market.
The group’s momentum has been fueled by its commanding stage performances. CORTIS’s year-end award show stages have ranked among the most-viewed videos on YouTube, while the group’s Spotify monthly listeners and Instagram followers have each surpassed 8 million, reflecting broad growth across global platforms.
International response has also been strong. On December 29, CORTIS was invited to perform at Nippon TV’s Annual Music Awards 2025, becoming the only Korean rookie group debuting this year to receive an invitation. Earlier, the group entered Billboard Japan’s year-end Top Album Sales chart just two months after debut and topped local Spotify charts with its intro track “GO!,” solidifying its presence in the Japanese market.
Following their performance in Japan, the members shared, “We debuted in August and have been incredibly grateful to share our music and meet fans throughout the year.”
CORTIS will continue its global activities in 2026, appearing at the 40th Golden Disc Awards in Taipei in January and headlining the NBA Crossover Concert Series in the United States in February.
