Singer Park Seo-jin firmly engraved his name on the stage once again.
Park Seo-jin successfully wrapped up his 2025–26 national tour concert MY NAME IS SEOJIN in Seoul on December 27 and 28, presenting a performance that condensed his 13-year musical career into a single narrative.
The Seoul concerts served as a testament to the time it took for the name “Park Seo-jin” to be fully realized.
MY NAME IS SEOJIN narratively unfolds the journey of a boy from Samcheonpo who dreamed of singing, evolving from the “God of Janggu” into solo artist Park Seo-jin standing at the center of the stage. Rather than a simple lineup of hit songs, the concert wove together choices, perseverance, and emotional nuance through music and performance, creating deep immersion.
The opening was striking. The concert kicked off with a powerful combination of a flamboyantly rearranged version of “Gwangdae” and “Namugun,” featuring Park Seo-jin’s signature janggu performance, clearly imprinting his identity that bridges tradition and modernity.
This was followed by stages befitting his nickname “Dance Machine.” Through “Honey” and “Mot Chajgetda Kkweokkori,” Park Seo-jin broke genre boundaries with bold dance and rock-infused performances, decisively shedding the conventional frame of a trot singer.
Midway through the show, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. Performances of “Father’s Sea” and “Moran” conveyed sincere emotions toward his parents with restrained delivery, gently lowering the emotional temperature of the venue. The emotions embedded in his controlled vocals quietly soaked into the audience’s hearts. Notably, Park Seo-jin unveiled his new song The One I Fell for at First Sight, scheduled for release on December 29, offering fans the first listen in a special moment of connection.
Another protagonist of the concert was the audience. Lyric-changing events calling fans by name, a full-audience “Sit Down! Dance Battle,” and a spectacular scene created by official janggu-shaped light sticks turned the venue into a single community. Adding to the emotion, Park Seo-jin read a handwritten letter he had personally written on stage, followed by surprise gift events that further amplified the heartfelt atmosphere.
