They added, “We see this award as encouragement to expand beyond the role of composers and grow further as versatile entertainers in the popular culture industry. We are preparing new challenges for next year and hope for continued interest and support.”
Algo-boni Honsusangtae is widely regarded as one of the industry’s leading composer teams, having produced numerous hit songs including Park Hyun-bin’s “Shabang Shabang,” Song Ga-in’s “Ga-in,” Lee Chan-won’s “Fate in Time,” Young Tak’s “Jjin-iya,” Jeong Dong-won’s “Hyodohapsida,” and Cho Hang-jo’s “Gomapsso.” They have also worked with many prominent trot artists such as Jang Yoon-jung, Song Dae-kwan, Shin Yu, Han Hye-jin, Geum Jan-di, Kim Yong-im, Hong Jin-young, Kim Ho-joong, Ahn Sung-hoon, Park Seo-jin, Hong Ji-yoon, Jeong Seo-joo, and Yang Ji-eun.
The duo described the past year as particularly meaningful. Earlier this year, they signed an exclusive contract with SM C&C, home to entertainers including Kang Ho-dong, Jun Hyun-moo, and Seo Jang-hoon, accelerating their rise as a leading creative force.
They also debuted as YouTubers through the channel Alsseulhonjak, while Song Ga-in’s “Ga-in” became the first trot song to be included in a middle school music textbook, further solidifying their influence.
