The desire-driven Hyun Bin and the obsession-fueled Jung Woo-sung collide from their very first encounter. The Disney+ Original series Made in Korea, long awaited by audiences worldwide, finally makes its debut.

Set in South Korea of the 1970s, a decade marked by both turmoil and rapid growth, Made in Korea follows Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), a ruthless businessman who seeks wealth and power by turning the nation itself into a profit model, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), who relentlessly hunts him down with near-fanatical determination. As the two men clash, they become entangled in massive, era-defining incidents.

Premiering today on the 24th, Made in Korea has heightened anticipation with the release of a duo poster. The contrasting color palette visually emphasizes the opposition between the two characters, instantly conveying their adversarial dynamic. As director Woo Min-ho explained, “If Baek Ki-tae is a cold character, Jang Geon-young is a hot one.” The series promises a full-throttle showdown between two men whose energies are fundamentally at odds, delivering a tightly woven and high-density narrative.

Newly released preview stills from Episodes 1 and 2 further spotlight the tense confrontation between Baek Ki-tae, a businessman consumed by grand ambition, and Jang Geon-young, a single-minded prosecutor pursuing a criminal cartel. One still of Baek Ki-tae seated on an airplane alone is enough to spark curiosity. While his relaxed expression in the first image leaves an impression of composure, another still reveals a starkly different mood, raising questions about the path he will take. A striking wiretapping visual of Baek Ki-tae further underscores his cold-blooded nature, showing a man who will stop at nothing to obtain what he wants.

In contrast, prosecutor Jang Geon-young appears in scenes with an entirely different temperature. His large glasses and rough overcoat visually define his character, firmly imprinting his presence. In the moment captured of the two men facing each other, their differences are amplified to the extreme, delivering suffocating tension. As Baek Ki-tae pursues wealth and power through a double life and Jang Geon-young confronts him at the heart of a criminal cartel, their first head-on collision marks the explosive beginning of a battle where desire crashes violently into desire.

Helmed by director Woo Min-ho’s masterful direction, Made in Korea aims to close out 2025 with impact. Beginning with Episodes 1 and 2, the series will release two episodes on December 31 (Wednesday), followed by one episode each on January 7 (Wednesday) and January 14 (Wednesday), for a total of six episodes.
