The Black Queens of Channel A’s Baseball Queen face the biggest crisis since the team’s formation. A single home run overturns the momentum of the game and throws the entire team into tension.
In the fifth episode of Channel A’s sports entertainment show Baseball Queen, airing Tuesday the 23rd at 10 p.m., the 15-member lineup of legendary former female athletes known as the Black Queens take on powerhouse team Busters in their second official match. The Busters, who won two national tournaments in 2024 and recorded a team batting average of .374, signal a difficult match even before the game begins.
In the early stages, the Black Queens lead 5–3 up to the top of the second inning, maintaining a tight battle for control. With Song-a and Ayaka delivering consecutive run-scoring hits and the infield defense of Kim Seong-yeon, Ayaka, and Park Ha-yan performing solidly, the team appears unfazed by the Busters’ relentless chase.
However, at the most crucial moment when the game needs to be closed out, an unexpected twist strikes. Pitcher Kim Ona gives up a home run, instantly shifting the momentum. As the ball sails over the fence with shouts of “It’s big, it’s gone,” the Busters seize their chance. From the bench comes a regretful, “We were hoping Ona would hold on,” and Kim Ona herself sighs, “Something went wrong…” in self-reproach.
With the show’s harsh rule of “one player released after three losses,” this match could become a decisive turning point for the Black Queens. As captain, all eyes are on whether Kim Ona can steady her shaken rhythm and rally the team again — and how the game, overturned by a single home run, will ultimately unfold.
The second official match of the Black Queens — filled with laughter, tension, and fierce competition — will air on Channel A’s Baseball Queen on Tuesday the 23rd at 10 p.m.
