A2O MAY, the girl group launched by producer Lee Soo-man, proved its performance capabilities befitting its strong showing on U.S. radio charts at a year-end stage in New York.
On the 14th, A2O Entertainment announced that A2O MAY appeared on the stage of the “Z100 All Access Lounge,” held on December 12 (local time) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
This stage served as the official pre-show for “Jingle Ball,” a year-end concert hosted by iHeartRadio, the largest radio network in the United States. A2O MAY’s participation is reported to have been driven by growing demand following the group’s recent rapid rise in the U.S. mainstream radio market.
On the day, A2O MAY performed its signature tracks “BOSS,” “B.B.B,” and “Under My Skin,” along with “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE,” which has recently gained traction on the charts. Their solid live performance spanning both rap and vocals, combined with the trendy energy characteristic of “Zalpha Pop,” led to enthusiastic sing-alongs from the local audience.
A2O MAY’s appearance at the Jingle Ball pre-show goes beyond a one-off event, serving as evidence of the group’s establishment in the North American market, as demonstrated by data-backed results. In fact, A2O MAY recently entered the Mediabase U.S. Radio TOP 40 with “PAPARAZZI ARRIVE,” setting a record for the most entries by a Chinese idol group. The group also tied for first place with pop star Justin Bieber in the weekly “Most Added” category, showing meaningful indicators in terms of broadcast frequency as well.
Meanwhile, A2O MAY plans to further expand the scope of its global activities following this Jingle Ball pre-show appearance.
