[News Culture] Spider-Man: Brand New Day is showing no signs of slowing down. Just seven days after opening in Korea, the Marvel blockbuster has already crossed the 4 million-admission mark, extending its commanding hold on the box office.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the film drew another 348,262 moviegoers on Aug. 4, keeping the No. 1 spot for a seventh consecutive day. Its cumulative total now stands at 4,134,163 admissions.
The latest milestone adds to an already remarkable run. Brand New Day is now the fastest film released in 2026 to reach 4 million admissions and the quickest Hollywood title released during the post-pandemic era (2020–2026) to hit the same mark.
The film follows Peter Parker after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Forgotten by the world, Peter is forced back into action when a mysterious enemy who remembers his true identity appears, while a DNA mutation leaves him struggling with unpredictable new abilities.
Na Hong-jin's Hope remained a solid runner-up with 61,228 admissions, bringing its cumulative total to 4,235,700.
Minions & Monsters held third place with 12,339 admissions, raising its total to 738,733.
Toy Story 5 ranked fourth with 7,890 admissions, pushing its cumulative admissions to 2,927,554.
Moana completed the top five with 6,684 admissions and has now reached 1,013,797 moviegoers.
