According to Netflix‘s official site Tudum, on the 29th, “The East Palace” recorded 8.1 million views (viewing time divided by the show’s total runtime) from July 20 to 26, securing the No. 2 spot in Netflix‘s global non-English TV show category. It made the top 10 in 69 countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Peru, the Czech Republic, Spain, France, Italy, Ukraine, and Portugal.
“The East Palace” is a Netflix series that follows Gu Cheon (Nam Joo-hyuk), who possesses the ability to traverse the spirit world, and Saeng-gang (Noh Yoon-seo), a palace maid harboring a secret, as they are summoned by the King (Jo Seung-woo) to uncover a curse haunting the East Palace.
The top spot was claimed by the French production “GIGN: Elite Force”, which recorded 10.1 million views
SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama “Agent Kim Reactivated” took third place with 7.3 million views. “Agent Kim Reactivated” is a revenge action drama about an ordinary father who becomes a dangerous man to save his only daughter. It garnered attention for its star-studded cast, including So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Joo Sang-wook.
Building on the success of its predecessor “My Royal Nemesis,” “Agent Kim Reactivated” surged in popularity, claiming the No. 1 spot globally in Netflix‘s non-English TV show category for three consecutive weeks. According to Tudum, “Agent Kim Reactivated” recorded 10.5 million views from June 29 to July 5, 9.1 million views from July 6 to 12, and 8.2 million views from July 13 to 19.
