[News Culture] The Husband is heading into a dramatic turning point.
Fresh from surgery, Kang Tae-joo (Namkoong Min) is taken into police custody and placed behind bars, sending the story in an unexpected direction. The irony is stark: after rescuing his wife, Tae-joo suddenly finds himself accused of kidnapping her.
New stills show Tae-joo being escorted away in a hospital gown and handcuffs, while an injured Go Se-yoon (Lee Seol) watches in silence. No words pass between them, but their exchanged looks reveal just how much has shifted between the couple. Tae-joo’s guarded expression from behind the bars only deepens the uncertainty over what comes next.
Namkoong Min carries much of the tension without relying on dialogue, using subtle shifts in expression and gaze to convey Tae-joo’s turmoil. His restrained performance captures both the gravity of the crisis and the character’s growing resolve as the drama prepares to enter its next phase.
The production team said Episode 7 will mark the beginning of the series’ second act, with clues and tensions planted throughout the first half finally beginning to converge.
Episode 7 of KBS 2TV’s weekend miniseries The Husband airs July 25 at 9:20 p.m.
