[News Culture] Na Hong-jin's Hope continued to dominate the South Korean box office on Tuesday, extending its commanding run as cumulative admissions climbed beyond 2.4 million.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), Hope sold 128,902 tickets on July 21, remaining No. 1 for a seventh consecutive day. Its cumulative admissions reached 2,401,626.
The thriller has maintained remarkable momentum since its release, surpassing 1 million admissions in three days and doubling that figure just two days later, cementing its status as this summer's biggest theatrical success.
Animated feature Minions & Monsters held second place with 18,765 admissions, lifting its cumulative total to 410,348.
The adventure follows James, Henry and Ed, three aspiring Minions determined to become blockbuster filmmakers, as they set out in search of monsters for their first feature.
Disney's live-action Moana remained third with 12,634 admissions, pushing its cumulative total to 795,819.
The Eyes, starring Shin Min-a, ranked fourth after drawing 12,345 moviegoers. The suspense thriller has now accumulated 1,453,778 admissions.
Toy Story 5 rounded out the top five with 8,400 admissions, bringing its cumulative total to 2,766,082.
