Huons Group Successfully Hosts Launch Symposium for Botulinum Toxin 'Hutox' in China

Huons Group is accelerating its entry into the Chinese market with its botulinum toxin product, 'Hutox'.

Huons Group affiliates Humedix and Huons BioPharma announced on the 20th the "Hutox Launch Symposium" was successfully held on the 16th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.

The symposium was hosted by Huons BioPharma’s local Chinese partner, IMeik Technology (hereafter IMeik). The event featured the official launch announcement of the botulinum toxin product 'Hutox' in China alongside an academic exchange program.

Through this symposium, Humedix and Huons BioPharma aimed to expand broaden touchpoints with local Chinese medical professionals and industry stakeholders, while boosting the global brand awareness of Hutox.

During the event, Dr. Chris Gunwoo Kim, Chief Director of Cellinique Clinic, participated as a guest speaker to deliver a lecture on Hutox. Dr. Kim shared global trends in botulinum toxin utilization, practical clinical applications, and operational know-how for administering the product.

Hutox is an aesthetic and therapeutic pharmaceutical product with botulinum toxin as its active ingredient. It is primarily used for the improvement of glabellar lines and crow's feet.

In 2022, IMeik secured exclusive import and distribution rights for Huons BioPharma's botulinum toxin products in the Greater China region (including Macau and Hong Kong). Following this, IMeik obtained marketing authorization for Hutox from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) last January.

For this launch event, Humedix leveraged its extensive network of Korean medical professionals to support the invitation of the speaker and streamline academic communications.
