An heiress who can see ghosts and a prosecutor chasing violent criminals find themselves on the same side when tvN's new weekend drama "Spooky in Love" premieres July 18.
The series follows Cheon Yeo-ri (Park Eun-bin), the wealthy heir to a conglomerate who gained the ability to see and hear spirits after surviving a near-fatal incident. Guided by a shaman's warning that helping restless souls is the only way to preserve her own life, she spends her days granting the wishes of ghosts who seek her out.
One of those spirits leads her to an active crime scene, where she unexpectedly crosses paths with Ma Kang-wook (Yang Se-jong), a passionate prosecutor in pursuit of a group of armed suspects.
Their chance encounter quickly turns into an uneasy partnership.
Newly released stills preview an action-packed sequence featuring a high-speed chase, close-quarters combat and a confrontation with knife-wielding criminals. One image also captures Yeo-ri and Kang-wook locking eyes across a baseball bat, hinting at the chemistry that begins to develop despite their very different backgrounds.
Although the pair have little in common, they are forced to work together against a common enemy, setting the stage for a partnership that blends suspense, supernatural mystery and romance.
"Spooky in Love" premieres July 18 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN.
