Disney's live-action Moana strengthened its grip on the South Korean box office after a robust first weekend, surpassing the 500,000-admission mark while maintaining a comfortable lead over the field.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), Moana sold 164,906 tickets on July 12 to remain No. 1 for a fifth consecutive day. Its cumulative admissions climbed to 511,078.
The film added 403,822 admissions over the July 10–12 weekend, delivering one of the strongest opening weekends of the summer season and reinforcing its position as the current market leader.
Toy Story 5 climbed back to second place with 98,665 admissions, lifting its cumulative total to 2,580,327. Nearly a month into its theatrical run, the Disney-Pixar sequel continues to post solid weekend business.
The Eyes, starring Shin Min-a, ranked third with 95,586 admissions, bringing its cumulative total to 1,277,263.
The suspense thriller has remained one of the season's strongest holdovers, sustaining audience interest well beyond its opening week through favorable word of mouth.
Animated feature David held fourth place with 26,703 admissions, raising its cumulative total to 75,470.
Colony rounded out the top five after drawing 13,527 admissions, pushing its cumulative admissions to 5,914,321.
The infection thriller stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rok and Ko Soo.
