BTS is set to transform New York City into an immersive fan destination with BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – NEW YORK, extending the group's ARIRANG world tour beyond the concert stage through a citywide cultural experience.
HYBE announced via the fan community platform Weverse on July 10 that the event will run from July 24 through Aug. 3 (local time) across multiple locations throughout New York City.
THE CITY is HYBE's large-scale urban entertainment project that connects an artist's concert with attractions, exhibitions and fan experiences spread throughout the host city. The New York edition follows previous editions in Seoul, Las Vegas, Busan and London, becoming the fifth installment linked to BTS' ARIRANG tour and the third project held in North America.
At the heart of this year's event is Grand Central Terminal, one of New York's busiest and most recognizable landmarks. From July 30 to Aug. 3, the terminal's Main Concourse will be fully transformed with the signature red visual identity of ARIRANG.
Vanderbilt Hall will host ARMY Madang, an interactive exhibition featuring stage costumes worn during BTS' Wembley performances alongside activities such as custom T-shirt creation.
The project also expands beyond music through collaborations with Korean brands and cultural organizations across the city. Participants include the Korean Cultural Center New York, Samsung Electronics, TIRTIR, Tous les Jours, and Photoism, offering experiences that span technology, beauty, food and lifestyle while showcasing the broader reach of contemporary Korean culture.
The initiative is designed to create a citywide festival atmosphere rather than a traditional promotional campaign, allowing fans and visitors to engage with multiple aspects of Korean cultural content in one destination.
The centerpiece concerts at MetLife Stadium on Aug. 1 and 2 will be complemented by a citywide stamp rally connecting venues including Grand Central Terminal, Bank of Hope and Arte Museum. Additional events such as random play dance sessions with local K-pop dance crews and themed club parties will further integrate BTS' fan community into New York's urban landscape.
"New York is a global cultural hub where music and diverse communities naturally come together," HYBE said. "Through THE CITY, we hope to deliver a richer cultural experience to visitors from around the world while continuing the project's global expansion."
