SBS drama AGENT KIM has turned its domestic ratings success into a global streaming breakthrough, reaching No. 1 on Netflix's Non-English TV chart while continuing to post ratings above the 20% mark in Korea.
The series claimed the top spot on Netflix's weekly Non-English TV rankings in its second week of release, surpassing 10 million views during the tracking period. It also reached No. 1 in 11 territories, including South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan, while landing in the Top 10 across 79 countries, underscoring the drama's growing international appeal.
Its momentum at home has been just as remarkable.
Episode 4, which aired on July 4, recorded a nationwide rating of 21.6% and 22.7% in the Seoul metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea. The episode also peaked at 25.1%, extending the show's record-setting run and making it the fastest-rising Friday-Saturday drama in SBS history.
The drama has also proven to be a standout among younger viewers. It averaged a 7.6% rating in the key 20-49 demographic and reached a high of 8.8%, ranking among the strongest-performing programs across all Korean television channels while demonstrating unusually broad cross-generational appeal.
The success extends beyond ratings and streaming.
According to the first-week July TV-OTT buzz rankings, AGENT KIM ranked No. 1 among all series, while leading star So Ji-sub topped the performer rankings, completing what has effectively become a triple crown of television ratings, streaming performance and public buzz.
With both domestic and overseas audiences continuing to grow, AGENT KIM has quickly become one of Korea's biggest television success stories of the year.
The drama returns with Episode 5 on July 10 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
