V8's 'girlsnboys' Visualizer Reinforces the Duo's Genre-Defying Identity

SEVENTEEN V8 continues to expand the artistic world of its debut release with a new visualizer that shifts the focus from explosive performance to atmosphere and style. The video for "girlsnboys," a B-side from the duo's first mini album, presents a restrained visual language that further defines V8's genre-defying creative identity.

Unlike the sweeping desert landscapes and fiery intensity that drove the music video for the title track "singasong," "girlsnboys" embraces a clean monochrome palette. Vernon and The 8 move through understated settings featuring a convertible and skateboard, balancing effortless freedom with refined sophistication. Choreography first teased in late June blends naturally into the visuals, reinforcing the song's relaxed groove rather than dominating it.

The visual direction mirrors the response the project has received from international media. Publications including The FADER and Bandwagon Asia praised the release for challenging conventional expectations of a K-pop project, highlighting its willingness to venture beyond familiar creative formulas.

Musically, "girlsnboys" was created by Pharrell Williams alongside longtime collaborator BUMZU. Built around buoyant synthesizers and an easygoing rhythm, the track complements earlier praise from Billboard and Vogue Singapore, both of which pointed to the project's emotional depth beneath its stylish exterior. V8 will launch its "2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE" concerts on July 11-12 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 Hall 1 in Goyang before continuing to Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10 from July 17-19.
