Toy Story 5 strengthened its hold on the South Korean box office over the weekend, surpassing 2.2 million admissions as it widened the gap over the competition.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the Disney-Pixar sequel sold 172,408 tickets on July 5 to finish No. 1 on the daily chart. Its cumulative admissions climbed to 2,218,501.
The film added 429,043 admissions during the July 3–5 weekend, extending its theatrical momentum and further solidifying its position among the year's top-performing releases in South Korea.
The Eyes, starring Shin Min-a, remained in second place with 127,138 admissions. The suspense thriller has now amassed 842,703 admissions, continuing to benefit from sustained audience interest following its word-of-mouth breakout.
Colony held third with 24,541 admissions, lifting its cumulative total to 5,842,311.
The infection thriller stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rok and Ko Soo.
Starring Timothée Chalamet, Marty Supreme placed fourth with 12,848 admissions, raising its cumulative total to 70,264.
Comedy Wild Sing rounded out the top five after adding 12,251 admissions. Its cumulative total reached 1,303,617.
