The battle for control reaches a breaking point in JTBC's weekend drama Reborn Rookie, where a calculated act of violence threatens to rewrite the company's future.
Episode 11, airing July 4, pits Kang Yong-ho (Son Hyun-joo), who continues to live in the body of Hwang Jun-hyun (Lee Jun-young), against Taeha Group chairman Na Byung-mo (Jung Jae-sung). What began as a long-running corporate rivalry escalates into a direct confrontation, with neither side willing to give ground.
Kang has spent much of the series protecting the company from behind the identity of a rookie employee, absorbing scandal after scandal to keep the organization intact. He has even sacrificed his own standing by taking responsibility for his eldest son's slush-fund controversy, choosing the survival of the group over his personal reputation.
Na, however, has no intention of slowing his advance.
After quietly expanding his influence through a strategic marriage alliance, the chairman makes his boldest move yet by orchestrating a kidnapping, dragging the succession fight beyond the boardroom and into dangerous new territory.
Newly released stills capture Hwang Jun-hyun restrained and at Na's mercy. Na's composed, intimidating presence underscores the confidence of a man who believes he has finally seized the upper hand. Yet even while bound and injured, Hwang refuses to back down, matching his rival with quiet resolve rather than fear.
The kidnapping also reshapes the stakes of the succession battle. With one of its central players suddenly neutralized, the struggle for control enters a far more unpredictable phase, where every decision could alter the future of the conglomerate.
Whether Kang Yong-ho can find a way to reverse the situation—and how far Na Byung-mo is willing to go to secure victory—will unfold in Episode 11 of Reborn Rookie, airing July 4 at 10:40 p.m. KST on JTBC.
