"Love In Sync," a new romantic fantasy series premiering July 4, introduces Kim Myung-soo and Kang Min-ah as two people whose lives become inseparably linked after an inexplicable emotional transfer.
Blending romantic comedy with fantasy, the series follows a woman incapable of empathizing with others and a man who absorbs other people's emotions too deeply. Their unlikely connection begins with a mysterious emotional phenomenon that forces them to confront one another's pain while slowly transforming both of their lives.
Newly released stills preview the first meeting between renowned psychologist Cha Eun-hwan (Kim Myung-soo) and top actress Yoo Ji-an (Kang Min-ah). Known for his ability to understand even the most guarded clients, Eun-hwan finds himself unexpectedly unsettled when Ji-an walks into his counseling office, hinting that their encounter may carry deeper significance.
Ji-an, meanwhile, has little interest in opening up emotionally. Hoping to overcome criticism of her performances, which have often been attributed to her lack of empathy, she reluctantly seeks counseling solely to improve her acting. Her refusal to discuss her personal life creates immediate tension with Eun-hwan, whose questions are met with carefully guarded silence.
Their relationship takes an unexpected turn after Ji-an accidentally picks up a family photograph while Eun-hwan briefly steps out of the office. The moment triggers painful memories, sending her into a panic attack. Caught off guard, Eun-hwan rushes to calm her, turning what began as an ordinary counseling session into the emotional catalyst that binds their fates.
According to the production team, the premiere establishes both the emotional foundation of the story and the connection between its two central characters. As each carries unresolved emotional wounds, the series explores how their relationship gradually becomes a source of healing, comfort and unexpected romance.
Produced with global distribution in mind from the outset, "Love In Sync" has already secured distribution across Asian markets, including Japan, reflecting growing international interest ahead of its debut.
"Love In Sync" premieres July 4 at 10:50 p.m. KST on Lifetime, U+tv Mobile and Disney+.
