JTBC's weekend drama Reborn Rookie is entering its final weekend with every major conflict poised to collide. What began as a body-swap fantasy has evolved into a high-stakes corporate power struggle, with the fate of Choi Sung Group—and the family fighting over it—set to be decided in the series' closing chapters.
At the center of the story is Kang Yong-ho (Son Hyun-joo), a veteran chairman who finds himself trapped in the body of rookie employee Hwang Jun-hyun (Lee Jun-young) after a mysterious accident. Forced to rebuild his influence from the bottom of the corporate hierarchy, he has turned experience into his greatest advantage while uncovering painful truths about both his family and the company he once led.
The succession race has become increasingly volatile as Kang's children pursue the top position from opposing sides. Kang Jae-kyung (Jeon Hye-jin), Kang Jae-sung (Jin Goo) and Kang Bang-geul (Lee Joo-myung) have each made difficult choices that continue to reshape the balance of power, leaving family loyalties hanging by a thread.
Yet the drama's central mystery remains unsolved. Kang still inhabits Hwang Jun-hyun's body, while Hwang has yet to awaken in Kang's original body, leaving both men suspended between two lives. As the finale approaches, the unanswered question is no longer simply how the body swap began, but whether either of them can ever reclaim what they lost.
The battle has also expanded beyond the family itself. Rival conglomerate Taeha Group, led by Na Byung-mo (Jung Jae-sung), has launched its long-awaited offensive against Choi Sung Group, while Na Eun-se (Lee Seo-an) has emerged as one of the story's most unpredictable forces. Their latest moves have destabilized the company's leadership and pushed the succession fight into its most dangerous phase yet.
With reputations shattered, alliances fractured and no clear successor in sight, Reborn Rookie has positioned its final episodes around one defining question: who deserves to inherit Choi Sung Group, and what will it ultimately cost to claim that power?
Episode 11 airs on July 4 at 10:40 p.m. KST, followed by the series finale on July 5 at 10:30 p.m.
