A2O MAY is expanding its profile beyond music, drawing attention across Shanghai's fashion scene with appearances that showcased both its stage presence and high-fashion appeal.
According to A2O Entertainment on June 30, members Chen Yu, Shijie, Qu Chang, Michelle and Kat recently participated in a series of major fashion events in Shanghai, seamlessly shifting between streetwear-inspired performances and couture presentations.
The group's first stop highlighted its performance identity. Taking the stage during a street fashion event, A2O MAY energized the audience with performances of "BOSS" and "B.B.B.," while visionary producer Lee Soo-man showed his support from the venue. The appearance quickly gained traction online, with related keywords climbing Weibo's real-time trending rankings.
The group's image shifted dramatically at a high-end art gala, where the members appeared in couture gowns and walked the runway with polished elegance. During the event, they also met renowned designer Jimmy Choo for a conversation and commemorative photo, underscoring the group's growing visibility within the international luxury fashion community.
Since its debut, A2O MAY has collected four global rookie awards while steadily expanding its influence beyond music through fashion, live performance and brand collaborations.
The group is scheduled to return with new music and performances on July 16.
