According to HYBE, the three-group collaboration single "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" has attracted growing attention from both global listeners and the music industry, combining the creative strengths of SOURCE MUSIC, BELIFT LAB and HYBE x Geffen Records into a single project.
The release brings together BELIFT LAB's performance direction, SOURCE MUSIC's visual creative identity and HYBE x Geffen Records' global A&R expertise. Built around a hard-hitting English-language hip-hop sound, the track has been praised for its bold production, cinematic music video and fresh chemistry among the three groups while showcasing a new collaborative approach within the K-pop production system.
The collaboration has also translated into measurable commercial success. Fueled by a viral short-form dance challenge, the project has encouraged crossover engagement among the three groups' fan communities while continuing to build global streaming momentum.
On Spotify, "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" climbed four places to No. 21 on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart. The single also reached a new career high of No. 32 on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs USA chart and No. 36 on the UK Official Singles Top 100 for the week of June 26–July 2. Earlier, the song peaked at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest position achieved by a K-pop girl group this year, further reinforcing its sustained international performance.
The three groups also reflected on the collaboration and the relationships built throughout the project. ILLIT said the process of performing with one shared voice was both enjoyable and rewarding.
