tvN’s 20th-anniversary special Together, Brilliantly Divine — Goblin 10th Anniversary Journey will bring the beloved cast back together, revisiting the memories and locations that helped turn the fantasy romance into a global phenomenon.
The special marks the 10th anniversary of Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, reuniting Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Go-eun and Yoo In-na for a trip to Gangneung. Returning to places closely associated with the drama, the four actors reflect on both the series and the friendships that have endured long after filming ended.
Preview footage released ahead of the broadcast hints at an emotional reunion. Gong Yoo describes the drama as “the most radiant winter” of his career, while Yoo In-na recalls how the feelings connected to the project seem untouched by time.
The journey takes the cast back to Jumunjin Beach, one of the drama’s most iconic filming locations. Standing once again before the sea where many memorable scenes were shot, the actors quickly settle into the same easy chemistry that captivated viewers a decade ago.
The reflective atmosphere soon gives way to playful banter. Kim Go-eun jokingly predicts chaos before the trip begins, while Lee Dong-wook immediately slips back into his Grim Reaper persona after putting on a black cap. Their interactions, joined by Yoo In-na’s quick wit, showcase a camaraderie that feels remarkably unchanged.
The special also offers quieter moments. During interviews, Kim Go-eun reflects on how the cast helped one another through demanding periods of production, while Yoo In-na affectionately describes Gong Yoo as “everyone’s Goblin.”
The newly unveiled poster is designed to evoke nostalgia among longtime fans. Set against the shoreline of Jumunjin, the image reunites all four actors, with familiar visual motifs such as the buckwheat flower bouquet and red scarf recalling some of the drama’s most memorable scenes.
A decade may have passed, but the reunion suggests that the bond shared by the cast remains intact. Their chemistry, friendship and affection for the series appear much the same as they were ten years ago.
