[NC Box Office] Colony Smashes 2 Million in Just Five Days, Rewriting Records Daily

Colony continues to shatter box-office records.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing network on May 26, Colony attracted 517,011 moviegoers on May 25, maintaining its No. 1 position at the box office. Its cumulative admissions reached 2,018,644.

The latest milestone makes Colony the fastest film of 2026 to surpass two million admissions, overtaking major hits including The King's Warden, Salmokji, and Project Hail Mary.

Following the year's biggest opening-day score, the strongest opening weekend, and the fastest run to one million admissions, Colony has now added another record with its rapid climb past the two-million mark.

The film also reached the milestone one day faster than last year's top-grossing Korean hit Zombie Daughter, further highlighting its extraordinary momentum.

Directed by Yeon Sang-ho, Colony follows a group of survivors trapped inside a quarantined building during a mysterious outbreak, facing infected beings that continue to evolve in unpredictable ways. The film stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rok, and Ko Soo.

Michael ranked second with 109,384 admissions on the day, bringing its cumulative total to 1,576,909.

The film chronicles the rise of Michael Jackson, showcasing the legendary music and electrifying performances that transformed him into the King of Pop.

Super Mario Galaxy placed third with 38,095 admissions, raising its cumulative audience to 1,576,909.

The animated adventure follows Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and their allies as they embark on a larger-than-ever mission across space and multiple worlds.

Fourth place went to The Devil Wears Prada 2, which added 16,318 moviegoers for a cumulative total of 1,558,870.

The sequel reunites Miranda, Andy, and Emily as they battle for influence in a dramatically transformed media and fashion landscape.

Salmokji rounded out the Top 5 with 8,147 admissions, bringing its cumulative audience to 3,230,647.

The horror film centers on a mysterious figure captured on a road-view image near a reservoir, leading a film crew into a terrifying encounter with something lurking beneath the dark water.
