After conquering stadiums around the world, Stray Kids are taking another major step in their global expansion by becoming the driving force behind a new international music festival built around their own brand.
On May 23, JYP Entertainment announced through its official channels that it has partnered with Live Nation to launch STRAYCITY, a new music festival series with Stray Kids serving as the headline act.
The festival will begin on September 9 in Bogotá, Colombia, before moving to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 14 and Mexico City, Mexico, on September 25. Stray Kids will headline the main stage at every stop, while a diverse lineup of artists, including fellow JYP boy group NEXZ and prominent local musicians, will join the event.
Inspired by the word "Stray" from the group's name, the festival represents far more than a new concert event. It serves as a clear indicator of Stray Kids' growing influence and their evolution into a global pop force capable of anchoring an entire festival brand.
The launch builds upon the group's extensive live-performance experience, including the 56-show dominATE world tour spanning 35 regions and appearances at major international music festivals. Those achievements have helped establish a powerful global foundation that now extends beyond concerts into large-scale cultural events.
The significance of STRAYCITY is amplified by its focus on Latin America, a region increasingly recognized as one of K-pop's fastest-growing markets following the expansion of Southeast Asia. Through direct engagement with local audiences at large-scale festivals, Stray Kids are positioned to strengthen connections not only with dedicated fans but also with the broader music-going public.
Industry observers are particularly interested in how the group's renowned stage presence and performance-driven identity will resonate across Latin America. Their ability to command massive audiences has become one of the defining characteristics of their global success, and STRAYCITY provides a new platform to showcase that strength.
Before launching the festival, Stray Kids will continue their global festival circuit with headline appearances at major international events, including the Governor's Ball Music Festival in New York on June 6 and Rock in Rio in Brazil on September 11.
Ultimately, STRAYCITY represents a new chapter for Stray Kids. No longer simply participants in global festivals, the group is now helping shape one. By transforming their name into a festival brand, Stray Kids have established another milestone in their ongoing rise as one of K-pop's most influential global acts.
