Taeyang is drawing global attention once again through a new performance video that highlights both his commanding stage presence and refined sense of musical pacing.
On May 20, THEBLACKLABEL released the performance video for “LIVE FAST DIE SLOW,” the title track from Taeyang’s fourth full-length album “QUINTESSENCE,” through its official channels.
The newly released video fully captures Taeyang’s energetic choreography against the backdrop of the track’s retro-inspired hip-hop atmosphere. Guided by nostalgic sound textures layered over a rhythmic hip-hop intro, Taeyang moves through a classic banquet hall setting with dynamic momentum and cinematic intensity.
The performance also emphasizes emotional contrast through fluid vocal lines and sharp physical movements, visually expressing the song’s deeper narrative about enduring life while maintaining one’s own center and direction. The choreography leaves a lingering impact by translating the track’s emotional weight into movement and rhythm.
During the album showcase, Taeyang explained that the title track reflects the way he has lived according to his own pace and direction, alongside another track titled “BAD,” which explores an unchanging side of himself. He also noted that he approached the performance with the intention of sharing energy directly with fans through fast-paced and vibrant stage elements.
The newly released performance video further reinforces the artistic identity behind “QUINTESSENCE,” while spotlighting the longevity and consistency of Taeyang’s musical career more than two decades after his debut.
Meanwhile, Taeyang’s fourth studio album “QUINTESSENCE” and its title track “LIVE FAST DIE SLOW” are currently available on major streaming platforms.
