ALPHA DRIVE ONE has begun unfolding a refreshing new musical narrative built around the unexpected sense of freedom brought by unpredictable early-summer weather.
On May 13, WAKEONE released the “Fickle Weather” version concept photos for ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s prologue single “No School Tomorrow” through the group’s official SNS channels.
Built around the keyword “escape from everyday early-summer life,” the visuals contrast bright sunny skies with rainy weather, hinting at the group’s shifting charms and carefree youthful energy.
The concept’s central image revolves around an unexpected school cancellation announced alongside sudden rain. Styled in raincoats and surrounded by changing weather, the members capture the fleeting excitement and liberation of an unforeseen holiday through expressive poses and youthful gazes.
The visuals also function as a key introduction to the narrative flow of the upcoming title track “OMG!,” visually translating the spontaneous emotions that arrive with sudden changes in weather and routine.
The prologue single consists of two tracks, including title song “OMG!” and B-side “Good Life.” Blending early-summer atmosphere with youthful sensitivity, the release serves as a preview of the group’s second mini album scheduled for August.
