Hong Ji-yoon drew attention with her confident charm and lively presence on MBN and Channel S variety show ‘Moo No Plan 3.’
The May 8 broadcast followed a food trip through Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, with Hong Ji-yoon joining the program alongside Solji. From the moment she appeared, Hong energized the atmosphere with a short live trot performance delivered in her signature vocal style.
During the episode, Hong Ji-yoon openly expressed confidence in her standing within the trot scene. Asked whether she considered herself among the top three female trot singers, she answered without hesitation: “Song Ga-in, Hong Jin-young, and me.” Her direct answer naturally reflected the confidence and experience she has built on stage over the years.
Her presence continued through impromptu live singing moments. Together with Solji, she performed for a restaurant owner, briefly turning the dining space into a small concert venue. She also confidently discussed her trademark vocal bending technique, with cast members comparing her stage energy to that of legendary trot singers.
Hong Ji-yoon’s candid personality also stood out during conversations throughout the trip. While discussing food preferences, she joked that she still “doesn’t really understand the taste of vegetables,” drawing laughter with her honest reactions and relaxed humor.
The broadcast later expanded into a larger food tour led by Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Jun-bin. The course included mini gimbap, charcoal-grilled Jirye black pork and grilled beef intestines.
The charcoal-grilled pork and lightly seasoned daechang particularly impressed the cast, blending travel variety elements with the show’s signature mukbang atmosphere. Conversations throughout the trip added further humor, as Jeon Hyun-moo joked about his ranking among MCs while Kwak Jun-bin kept the mood lively with his trademark blunt humor.
Combining food, music and talk, the episode highlighted Hong Ji-yoon’s strong variety-show presence before teasing the cast’s next destination at the end of the broadcast.
