Fans will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stand alongside Korea national team stars.
On May 8, the Korea Football Association (KFA) announced through an official press release that it will hold a special social media event ahead of the “2026 FIFA World Cup” to find fans who will become part of the national team’s official match posters alongside players such as Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in.
The event will give supporters of the Korea national team a chance to take professional profile photos at the “TV Station” inside the Korea Football Park, the same location and concept used by the national team players themselves. The photos taken during the event will later be featured alongside the players on the national team’s official social media match posters throughout the World Cup period.
According to the KFA, the campaign was designed to share the excitement surrounding the World Cup with fans while also delivering a message to the players that supporters are always standing beside them.
Any fan who supports Korean football is eligible to participate. Applicants must leave a comment on the KFA national team’s official social media recruitment post, explaining “why I should be the main character in the poster” along with a message of support for the national team.
Applications open on May 8 and close at 3 p.m. on May 14. A total of 12 winners will be selected by lottery among participants who leave passionate messages supporting the national team. Each winner will also be allowed to bring one guest. The selected participants will be notified individually through direct messages on May 15.
The final winners will attend an offline event at Korea Football Park on May 22. Participants will travel to the venue aboard the national team bus from a designated meeting point. The program will include a tour of Korea Football Park facilities, lunch at the national team cafeteria, and the main event — a professional profile photo shoot.
Participants will receive high-quality digital profile photos as well as official social media match posters featuring themselves alongside Korea national team players, creating what the KFA described as an unforgettable experience for football fans.
To participate, applicants must have public social media accounts and be available to attend the scheduled event. Photos and videos captured during the offline activities will later be used in the KFA’s official promotional content.
A KFA official stated, “With the World Cup now just over a month away, we expect the passionate support from fans to provide tremendous strength to the players. We hope supporters will continue to cheer on the hard work, sweat, and dedication of the players preparing for football’s biggest festival, which comes once every four years.”
