TAEYONG has visually embodied the fierce and razor-sharp instincts behind his first solo full-length album "WYLD" through a series of striking new teaser images.
On May 6, SM Entertainment unveiled the third photography teaser set for TAEYONG’s upcoming album "WYLD" through NCT’s official SNS channels.
Across the four newly released images, TAEYONG radiates a dark and aggressive aura while wearing a rough-textured olive green vest paired with glossy black leather pants.
The standout styling element is a perforated metal mask combined with black leather straps partially covering his face, intensifying his piercing gaze. Black nail styling and wet-look silver hair further reinforce the cyberpunk atmosphere while completing the primal charisma that defines the album’s "WYLD" concept.
The bold visual narrative is expected to connect directly with the album’s equally aggressive musical direction and genre experimentation.
One of the album tracks, the EDM-based house song "I’m a Dancing Cactus," compares the artist himself to a cactus while blending 1980s and 1990s-inspired synth textures with rough garage drum sounds. The track is said to deliver the same explosive energy and layered intensity shown throughout the teaser visuals.
Another b-side track, "Hot," reinterprets classic hip-hop through a modern lens, combining heavy basslines with witty rap flows that fully capture TAEYONG’s signature rough-edged hip-hop swagger.
From visually overwhelming teaser concepts to a tracklist crossing house music and old-school hip-hop, anticipation is rapidly growing over just how far TAEYONG’s limitless transformation will extend through "WYLD."
Meanwhile, TAEYONG’s first solo full-length album "WYLD" will be officially released on May 18.
