Episode 7 of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown, aired May 1, recorded 11.1 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area, 10.8 percent nationwide, and 5 percent in the 20–49 demographic, ranking No.1 among all Friday programs. The scene in which Sung Hee-joo (IU) and Prince Ian (Byeon Woo-seok) headed toward the palace after the ceremony peaked at 14.3 percent per-minute ratings.
The episode unfolded with excitement and anxiety intertwining. After confirming their feelings aboard the yacht, the atmosphere between Hee-joo and Ian noticeably changed. Hee-joo blushed at even the smallest gestures, while Ian watched her with quiet affection, capturing the energy of two people newly in love.
At the same time, the revelation that their marriage contract included a clause requiring divorce after three years added underlying tension to the relationship. Their emotions deepened even as the ending seemed predetermined, heightening viewer immersion.
