The winners personally chosen by fans have officially been confirmed. The “2026 Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards” revealed its final results across all categories, effectively locking in this year’s award landscape.
This year’s project adopted a structure in which fan voting directly determined the winners across six categories spanning K-pop, trot, and OST music. First-place recipients in each division will receive official trophies at the ceremony scheduled for May 23 at the National Assembly in Seoul.
In the male K-pop idol category, PLAVE claimed first place with more than 270,000 votes, while AHOF followed in second place with over 160,000 votes. In the female idol division, virtual artist HADES secured a commanding victory, with STAYC finishing second.
In the OST category, Zhang Hao dominated the vote with “Refresh!,” while Son Tae-jin placed second with “Dear My Son.”
The trot categories were led by Hwang Young-woong, who surpassed 850,000 votes to win Male Trot Star and also captured Best Music Award with “Oppa Is Back,” completing a double victory. Kim Yong-bin ranked second in both categories.
In the Female Trot Star division, Kim So-yeon took first place, followed by Kim Eui-young in second.
The awards have drawn particular attention for fully linking fan participation to official results, turning public support into permanent records rather than symbolic popularity contests. Attention is now shifting toward the official ceremony on May 23 at the National Assembly, where the fan-selected winners will receive their trophies and additional promotional benefits, including Times Square advertisements.
