Park Sun-young deepens Stravinsky, Kim Jae-han reinvents Benois, Kim Soo-ho anchors with vocal force
Running through June 14 at YES24 Art One Theater, with "Stravinsky" set to complete the trilogy
Park Sun-young, Kim Jae-han, and Kim Soo-ho have launched the musical "Diaghilev" with striking intensity, drawing early acclaim for a tightly built and character-driven performance.
According to Showplay, the trio recently took the stage at YES24 Art One Theater Hall 1 for the production’s opening run.
"Diaghilev" traces the life of Sergei Diaghilev, founder of the Ballets Russes, unfolding the tensions and artistic collisions among four creators at the height of their creative turmoil.
Park Sun-young, reprising her role as Stravinsky after "Nijinsky," delivers a more controlled and layered interpretation, sharpening the character’s psychological edge. Kim Jae-han, transitioning from Stravinsky to Benois this season, reconstructs his presence with measured restraint and renewed texture. Rising actor Kim Soo-ho integrates seamlessly, reinforcing the narrative with stable vocals and grounded delivery.
The interplay among the three performers heightens the production’s dramatic density, amplifying both the work’s artistic appeal and the actors’ evolving range.
"Diaghilev" runs through June 14 at YES24 Art One Theater, with the trilogy’s final chapter, "Stravinsky," scheduled to follow immediately after the current run concludes.
