HRTZ.WAV is locking in its debut momentum.
On March 27, Kakao Entertainment unveiled a highlight medley for the band’s first mini album "The First Wave," offering a sharp preview of its sonic direction ahead of release.
The clip centers on the group’s live-band intensity. Yoon Young-jun (keyboard), Dain (bass), Keten (guitar), and Hagiwa (drums) drive the arrangement with tight, kinetic instrumentation, while Lian’s vocal cuts through with a clean, emotive edge.
Front and center is the title track "NINETEEN," co-written by all members. The track channels youthful adrenaline into a straight-ahead, punchy sound. "Awkward" (어리버리), led by Lian and Dain, pivots into a softer lane, capturing the uncertainty of young love.
Elsewhere, the six-track EP moves across textures: the explosive lift of "Dream," the stripped-back breakup tone of "Highlight," the groove-driven "I AM SO FINE," and "Our Story," a track framed as the band’s opening chapter with fans.
With every member credited in the writing process, HRTZ.WAV positions itself as more than a project act, signaling a band intent on defining its own sound from the outset.
"The First Wave" arrives April 8, alongside a debut showcase at Oil Tank Culture Park in Seoul.
