Singer Kim Yong-bin has sold out the April issue of TROTIER at the preorder stage, underscoring the remarkable loyalty and purchasing power of his fandom.
According to the publisher on March 26, the issue was fully depleted almost immediately after sales opened. The surge was driven by fans, particularly those from his official fan club “Sarangbin,” whose coordinated participation turned the release into a large-scale fandom movement.
Beyond personal purchases, fans engaged in donation-driven buying, expanding the meaning of the project. Organized efforts by fan café administrators and members further amplified the impact, transforming simple consumption into a collective act of support.
Built around the theme “THE RIGHT TIME, the most Kim Yong-bin moment,” the April issue captures the artist at a defining point in his career following his victory on Mr. Trot 3. It traces his journey from child prodigy to hiatus and eventual return, presenting both the trajectory behind his rise and the direction ahead.
A special section created with “Sarangbin” stands out as a symbolic highlight. Filled with messages written by fans themselves, it functions as a shared archive between artist and fandom, reinforcing the emotional bond at the center of his current peak.
