Kakao Entertainment’s new band hrtz.wav has set its debut in motion with a concept film anchored by a powerful ensemble performance.
Released on March 20 via official social media and YouTube, the clip introduces the group’s first mini album, “The First Wave,” while offering a concise preview of its sonic identity.
The film traces how five members, Yoon Youngjun (keyboard), Rian (vocals), Dane (bass), K-Ten (guitar), and Hagiwa (drums), assemble a unified sound. A single guitar stroke expands into layered instrumentation, culminating in a tightly built, high-energy band track that signals the group’s first defining wave.
The audiovisual design reinforces Hrtz.Wave’s positioning as a “youth icon band.” The closing phrase “READY TO WAVE” functions as both a statement of intent and a launch cue, while the hook-driven melody leaves a lingering impression that sharpens anticipation for the release.
Formed from position winners of Mnet’s survival show “Still Heart Club,” the group has already demonstrated performance credibility and a trend-aware aesthetic, including early placements on global festival lineups. The debut album is expected to serve as the foundation of its evolving musical identity.
Hrtz.Wave will release “The First Wave” on April 8 and launch its activities with a fan showcase at Seoul’s Oil Tank Culture Park.
