What does Gwanghwamun Square look like now, one week before BTS’ comeback live performance? The area carries a calm, almost storm-before-the-storm atmosphere as anticipation quietly builds.
On March 13, at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul, pedestrians and foreign tourists were seen stopping in front of large electronic billboards broadcasting advertisements for the upcoming BTS comeback performance, taking photos as the moment drew attention.
Near the square, visitors also gathered around BTS wrapping installations, posing for commemorative photos and showing excitement for the upcoming event.
The area where the stage will be installed still remains relatively calm. Contrary to online rumors claiming that fans were camping overnight or reserving spots with notes, the square itself appeared orderly and quiet.
BTS will hold their comeback live performance “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” at Gwanghwamun Square at 8 p.m. on March 21, performing in front of approximately 34,000 spectators.
One day earlier, on March 20, the group will release their fifth full-length album “ARIRANG,” beginning their new full-group promotions with the title track “SWIM,” written by RM.
