Olympic short track speed skating champions Choi Min-jeong and Kim Gilli are set to make a special appearance on JTBC’s variety show “Watch Chef & My Fridge.”

The upcoming episode, scheduled to air March 15 at 8:50 p.m., brings together the two athletes widely nicknamed the “Golden Sisters.” Their appearance comes after Choi Min-jeong previously revealed in an interview with JTBC’s Newsroom that appearing on the program had long been on her personal bucket list.

“I won medals at the PyeongChang and Beijing Winter Olympics, but I was never invited,” Choi joked. “So I ended up winning seven Olympic medals just to come on this show.” Her decade-long fandom for the program instantly drew laughter from the studio.

Choi also revealed that she had been particularly curious about chef Kim Pung, even admitting she felt unexpectedly disappointed after his response on social media. The athlete then surprised the cast by confessing that her actual favorite chef might be someone else.

The episode will feature behind-the-scenes Olympic stories rarely shared in public. As the cast revisits footage from the athletes’ short track races, the studio relives some of the most emotional moments from the Winter Games. Host Kim Sung-joo adds dramatic commentary to the scenes and even tears up while recalling the athletes’ intense performances.

Another highlight will be the explanation behind Kim Gilli’s viral “MZ-style victory ceremony.” After finishing first and second in the women’s 1,500-meter short track event, the two athletes reacted very differently on the podium. While Choi Min-jeong burst into tears after completing her final Olympic race, Kim Gilli celebrated with a wide-armed jump.

When Kim Sung-joo joked, “You were celebrating while your teammate was crying next to you,” Choi laughed and replied, “I’m seeing that moment for the first time today. Back then, I was crying too much to notice.”

The long-awaited reveal of the athletes’ refrigerators also delivers surprises. Ingredients brought directly from Italy and a limited batch of 2,026 Olympic-ring pasta pieces leave the chefs impressed, while Choi Min-jeong even shares cooking tips for preparing the uniquely shaped pasta.

Choi also teased her teammate’s legendary appetite, saying, “Gilli’s dream is to become a ‘mini Tzuyang.’” Kim confirmed the story with a laugh, adding, “Whenever I go to my favorite hot pot restaurant, I eat a lot. Right after the Olympics, I waited three hours just to eat hot pot.”
