Pop superstar Rihanna experienced a frightening incident after her Beverly Hills home was targeted in a shooting.
According to the Los Angeles Times and other local media reports on March 8 (local time), a woman in her 30s was arrested after firing multiple gunshots toward Rihanna’s residence in Beverly Hills, California.
Authorities said the suspect approached the area in a vehicle and fired several rounds toward the property. At least 10 shots were reportedly discharged, with some bullets striking the gate and exterior walls of the house.
The suspect fled the scene by car immediately after the shooting, but police later apprehended the woman about 12 kilometers from the residence. Investigators are currently examining the suspect’s motive and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Rihanna was reportedly inside the home at the time, but fortunately no injuries were reported. It remains unclear whether her partner A$AP Rocky and their children were present during the incident.
Following the news, fans expressed concern for the singer on her social media accounts. As of now, Rihanna’s representatives have not issued an official statement regarding the shooting.
Rihanna, a Barbados-born singer, debuted in 2005 with the single “Pon de Replay” and later gained global recognition through numerous hits, including her collaboration with Eminem on “Love the Way You Lie.” She has recently shared glimpses of her family life with rapper A$AP Rocky as a mother of three. The Beverly Hills property where the shooting occurred was reportedly purchased by Rihanna in 2021 for about $13.8 million.
