BLACKPINK has once again proven its global power, debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and securing the group’s fifth entry and third consecutive Top 10 on the chart.
According to YG Entertainment on March 9, the group’s third mini album “DEADLINE” entered the latest Billboard 200 at No. 8, continuing the chart legacy the group has built since “SQUARE UP” and later releases including the full-length album “BORN PINK.”
The result marks BLACKPINK’s fifth appearance on the main U.S. album chart. More notably, the group has now achieved three straight Top 10 entries, reinforcing both its musical credibility in the Western market and the scale of its global fandom.
The achievement is further amplified by simultaneous success on major U.K. charts. “DEADLINE” landed at No. 11 on the Official Albums Chart, while its title track “GO” reached No. 44 on the Official Singles Chart. The feat set a new record for the most chart appearances by a K-pop female artist in the U.K.
The album also sold more than 1.77 million copies within its first week of release, setting a new first-week sales record for a K-pop girl group.
The simultaneous presence across the major Western charts highlights the sustained global reach of the BLACKPINK brand and its expanding influence in mainstream pop.
Meanwhile, “DEADLINE” has received strong praise from international outlets including Rolling Stone and Billboard, with critics highlighting both its musical polish and the group’s continued peak in global popularity.
