Episode 15 of tvN’s Undercover Miss Hong aired yesterday (March 7), delivering a series of dramatic twists as the drama approaches its finale.
Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye) displayed a sharper strategic edge as she confronted Chairman Kang Pil-beom (Lee Deok-hwa) with the support of both colleagues and family. The episode recorded an average nationwide rating of 13.1 percent on paid platforms, peaking at 14.5 percent. In the Seoul metropolitan area, ratings averaged 14.0 percent and climbed to a high of 15.6 percent. It also ranked No.1 across all channels in the key 20–49 demographic during its time slot.
The episode portrayed Hong Geum-bo’s family and the Yeouido Pirates taking a more proactive role in solving the case. The four roommates of Room 301 gathered at Hong Geum-bo’s family chicken restaurant to celebrate Kim Mi-sook (Kang Chae-young) starting her new job, sharing a brief moment of warmth.
However, the calm was shattered when Bong Dal-su (Kim Roe-ha) and his men suddenly appeared, raising the tension. At that moment, Hong Geum-bo’s parents, Kim Soon-jung (Lee Soo-mi) and Hong Chun-seop (Kim Young-woong), stepped forward to defend their daughter, bringing both humor and thrilling action to the scene.
The episode also revealed their past connection as taekkyeon master and disciple at a gym. Hong Geum-bo inherited that fighting spirit and confronted the attackers. The story then took a shocking turn when Kang No-ra (Choi Ji-soo) revealed that Bong Dal-su was the man who had attempted to kidnap her when she was ten years old.
Meanwhile, after Hong Geum-bo held a press conference and publicly revealed her identity to confront Hanmin Securities, Chairman Kang retaliated by spreading rumors across Yeouido in an attempt to pressure her. In response, the Yeouido Pirates secured additional shares, while Shin Jung-woo (Go Kyung-pyo) tried to bring back DK Ventures, an overseas investment firm that had once supported him.
When the slush fund was withdrawn and DK Ventures also pulled out its investment, Chairman Kang and his chief secretary Song Ju-ran (Park Mi-hyun) struggled to conceal their unease.
Hong Geum-bo later revealed the truth about the attempted kidnapping of Kang No-ra 15 years earlier to Madam Choi In-ja (Byun Jung-soo), leaving her shocked. After confirming the truth, Madam Choi confronted Secretary Song in anger but broke down in tears when Chairman Kang sided with Song instead.
Eventually, Madam Choi decided to help Hong Geum-bo by transferring her shares to the Yeouido Pirates. However, Secretary Song escalated the conflict by having Go Bok-hee (Ha Yoon-kyung) arrested on embezzlement charges. Kang No-ra further heightened the tension by delivering a chilling warning to Hong Geum-bo before stepping back.
On the day of the emergency shareholders’ meeting, Hong Geum-bo secretly entered through a back entrance in an attempt to restrain Chairman Kang Pil-beom. When the stairwell was locked and the situation became difficult, manager Cha Jung-il (Im Chul-soo) unexpectedly stepped in to help.
Manager So Gyeong-dong (Seo Hyun-chul) and several dismissed employees also arrived and voiced their support for the motion to remove Chairman Kang. Although the proposal was ultimately rejected, the outcome dealt a serious blow to Chairman Kang’s pride and reputation.
The episode concluded with a surprising twist. Kang No-ra appeared as a newly trusted figure by Chairman Kang, but stunned everyone by declaring that she would transfer her shares to the Yeouido Pirates while dressed as an ordinary junior employee. Hong Geum-bo’s carefully orchestrated strategy and Kang No-ra’s unexpected decision pushed the drama’s tension to its peak, heightening anticipation for the final episode airing today.
