Group BTS has heightened comeback fever by officially unveiling the tracklist for their 5th studio album, 'ARIRANG'. Revealed through the team’s official SNS on the 4th, the new album captured global fans' attention with its striking logo and graphics, raising expectations to an all-time high.
The new album 'ARIRANG' features a massive lineup of 14 tracks, including the title song 'Swim', along with 'Body to Body', 'Hooligan', 'Alien', 'FYA', '2.0', 'No. 29', 'Merry-Go-Round', 'Normal', 'Like Animals', 'They Don't Know About Us', 'One More Night', 'Please', and 'Into the Sun'. This record boasts a high-quality composition that encapsulates BTS’s identity and the emotions gathered throughout their journey.
The title track 'Swim' is an upbeat alternative pop song that sings about the determination to keep moving forward amidst the waves of life. Rather than resisting the harsh currents, it expresses the attitude of calmly overcoming them at one's own pace through a "love for life." Leader RM took charge of the overall songwriting, adding depth to the message.
The B-side tracks are equally impressive. From 'Body to Body', which captures the energy of a concert hall, to 'Hooligan', which melts down the time spent pioneering paths across the world, and '2.0', which shows the members' current state as they enter a new phase, each track contains various stories of BTS. Notably, tracks like 'Merry-Go-Round', which deals with enduring the repetitive cycles of life, and 'Normal', which touches upon emotions felt off-stage, stand out for their sincere confessions.
The high level of completion of this album was supported by collaborations with world-renowned producers. BTS held songwriting sessions in Los Angeles last summer, with pop industry giants such as Grammy Award winners Diplo, Ryan Tedder, and El Guincho joining forces to add sonic depth.
BTS’s 5th studio album 'ARIRANG' will be released simultaneously worldwide at 1 PM on the 20th. On the following day, the 21st, a large-scale comeback live event will be held in the Gwanghwamun Square area, and the scene will be broadcast live globally via Netflix. With the news of the legendary group’s return, the eyes of the global music market are focusing on Seoul.
