TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has officially confirmed its return with a new group album, marking the first release since all members renewed their contracts with BigHit Music.
On March 2, the agency announced that TXT will release its eighth mini album, “7TH YEAR: WHEN THE WIND BRIEFLY STOPPED IN THE THORN BUSH,” on April 13. The project arrives as a symbolic milestone, coming after the members’ full contract renewal in August last year.
The album’s main title, “7TH YEAR,” reflects the group’s journey over the past seven years. Its extended subtitle recalls TXT’s signature narrative-style naming tradition seen in earlier tracks such as “CROWN” and “Run Away,” reinforcing the group’s identity rooted in conceptual storytelling.
The “thorn bush” imagery is interpreted as representing a turning point — a pause within struggle before stepping forward again. The title suggests reflection, transition, and renewed direction at a significant crossroads in the group’s career.
Trailers and concept photos revealed at the seventh-anniversary special concert “2026 TXT MOA CON” on March 1, followed by a midnight release on Weverse, visually set the tone for the upcoming album. In black-and-white scenes contrasted with fluorescent thorn branches, the members recited lyrics from “Thorn Tree,” reinforcing the album’s thematic depth.
During the concert, the members expressed their bond, stating, “The team means everything to us. We hope to stay together for a long time,” heightening anticipation for the comeback.
TXT’s eighth mini album “7TH YEAR: WHEN THE WIND BRIEFLY STOPPED IN THE THORN BUSH” will be released on April 13 at 6 p.m.
