Daewon Enters CJ OLIVE YOUNG With Sleep Supplement 'Sleep Shot'

[NA Eun-kyung, Edaily Reporter] Daewon Pharmaceutical said Wednesday that Daewon Health, its comprehensive dietary supplement brand, will launch its new sleep health product “Daewonhealth sleep shot” at about 900 CJ OLIVE YOUNG stores nationwide and on wellness curation platform Olive Better.

The launch marks Daewon Pharmaceutical’s first entry into CJ OLIVE YOUNG. The company said it plans to secure broad consumer touchpoints from the outset through a dual distribution strategy targeting both general retail stores with strong nationwide accessibility and specialty stores focused on health management.

Daewonhealth sleep shot is designed for people who struggle to fall into deep sleep or frequently wake during the early morning hours, as well as domestic and international travelers experiencing jet lag.

The product comes in a squeeze-type stick pouch reflecting Daewon Pharmaceutical’s formulation know-how, making it easy to carry and consume. It can be taken anytime without water, whether in bed, on a flight or at a hotel, allowing users to manage sleep health conveniently with one stick a day even during busy routines or travel.

The key ingredient is 300㎎ lime peel extract, which is 100 percent plant-based. The individually approved ingredient, which has obtained a domestic patent, has been recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its functionality in helping improve sleep quality. Each stick contains the full recommended daily intake of 300mg lime peel extract. As a plant-derived ingredient, it is considered suitable for long-term consumption with minimal burden on the body.

In a human application study involving 80 men and women aged 19 to 65, the product showed statistically significant improvements in major sleep-related indicators, including increased total sleep time, improved sleep efficiency, reduced sleep latency, decreased wake time after sleep onset, increased stage 2 non-REM sleep and reduced total wake time.
