Actress Go Youn-jung showcases her unexpected charm in her first-ever reality variety show appearance.
Episode 4 of the MBC variety program The Secret Friends Club, airing on February 22, features Season 2 cast members Jung Hae-in, Go Youn-jung, Park Myung-soo, Hong Jin-kyung, and Kim Do-hoon. The episode follows the group as they launch an undercover mission centered on the theme of handmade gifts.
In a preview clip released ahead of the broadcast, Go Youn-jung is seen carrying out an undercover operation for her secret friend Park Myung-soo. Waiting outside a broadcasting station in Yeouido for his schedule to end, she remains fully immersed in the mission while enjoying jajangmyeon. Her candid moment of uncertainty, saying, “This is tough, how am I supposed to do this? How did everyone else manage?” added humor to the scene.
She drew admiration in particular when she unveiled a custom-made caricature bread box she prepared herself. Reflecting her background in fine arts, she carefully illustrated not only Park Myung-soo’s face but also his pet dog Kara, highlighting her impressive artistic talent. She also surprised the production staff with a gift of Dubai chewy cookies, creating a warm atmosphere. Smiling proudly at their reaction of “It’s our first time trying this,” Go Youn-jung even gave up her own portion to Park Myung-soo, saying, “These cookies are love. I gave them all.”
Her undercover outfit also drew attention. With a scarf tightly wrapped around her head as part of her disguise, she completed a perfect concealment look. At the same time, she revealed her playful side by joking, “I can’t see anything,” bringing laughter to the moment.
As Park Myung-soo’s arrival drew closer, the tension heightened. In the final moments of the preview, he appears within about 10 meters, creating a suspenseful near-encounter. Go Youn-jung briefly retreats before cautiously approaching again, continuing her nerve-wracking mission and building anticipation for the full broadcast.
