In Episode 1 of MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “In Your Radiant Season,” which premieres today February 20, Song Ha-ran played by Lee Sung-kyung and Sunwoo Chan played by Chae Jong-hyeop reunite. In the released stills, Sunwoo Chan is an animator who has come to Korea for a collaboration project with Nana Atelier. The two meet again during a project meeting with Nana Atelier’s head Kim Nana played by Lee Mi-sook. Ha-ran attends as the project’s designer, while Chan comes face-to-face once more with the woman who brought him “spring” seven years ago. Unlike Chan, who is overwhelmed with mixed feelings of joy and confusion, Ha-ran keeps her distance with a meaningful gaze. The air between them is filled with a strangely sharp tension.
The broadcast also reveals the incident from seven years ago that changed both of their seasons completely. Boarding a flight to the United States, Ha-ran was filled with excitement at the thought of reuniting with the person she loved. But an unexpected explosion shattered everything. The accident became the turning point that left Ha-ran trapped in a deep winter. At the same time, Chan, who was studying in the United States, suffered critical injuries and stood at the brink of life and death. The production team said, “Episode 1 will gradually reveal the clues behind the hidden incident between Song Ha-ran and Sunwoo Chan, along with their fateful reunion,” adding, “The relationships between the characters will also begin to intertwine in earnest.”
