A peaceful day at the barbershop run by the three brothers comes to an unprecedented halt as operations face complete paralysis. What began with Kwak Dong-yeon’s friendly village announcement quickly spirals into record-breaking crowds, culminating in part-time worker Park Hae-joon declaring his intention to escape.
In Episode 4 of tvN’s The Village Barber, airing February 20 at 8:35 PM, Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, and Kwak Dong-yeon welcome the largest number of customers since opening on their third day of business. Support members Park Hae-joon and Choi Dae-hoon join the effort, but the overwhelming rush pushes everyone to their limits.
The chaos begins with Kwak Dong-yeon’s thoughtful gesture. Hoping to thank local residents for their interest, he organizes a village broadcast with the help of the town leader to offer bungeoppang and fish cake snacks. The announcement quickly draws an enormous crowd, transforming the once-calm shop into a scene of total congestion.
The person hit hardest by the unexpected surge is part-time worker Park Hae-joon, who has only just learned the art of making bungeoppang. Overwhelmed by the flood of orders, he struggles to keep up, while Kwak Dong-yeon watches in shock at the scale of the situation he inadvertently created.
Meanwhile, long queues form for Park Bo-gum’s hair styling and Lee Sang-yi’s nail care services, bringing even their primary work to the brink of shutdown. Choi Dae-hoon steps in with his first-ever shampoo service, using both skill and humor to stabilize the situation. However, the relentless workload proves too much, and Park Hae-joon ultimately reaches his breaking point, declaring, "I’m going home," signaling his intent to abandon his post.
Despite the overwhelming crisis, the three brothers prepare a secret mission filled with warmth. Determined to surprise one special woman, Kwak Dong-yeon personally takes on the task of making a handmade cake, raising anticipation over the identity of the recipient and whether their heartfelt plan will succeed.
